"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Regrets

Two comments received are severely critical of the Mayor. I agree with the sentiments completely
but discretion dictates against posting them .

Nothing hinders me from relaying accurate accounts of what takes place in the public's business behind the scenes. Except those areas where public and private interest must be protected.

But as a councillor a level of respect and decorum is expected. If I post the comments, I become responsible for them.

I appreciate the sentiments and the support. Keep them coming

As the costs of fighting the Weathill Development prepares to escalate despite four previous setbacks a look at the proponents is necessary. We have the well heeled neighbours who have decided they can't afford to fight anymore.
We have a mayor who continues to troll for causes that will get her the positive press to maintain her reign even if the costs are prohibitive. We have a self-professed Escalade driving oxymoron of an Environmental Expert
Susan Walmer who also doubles as the Mayor's expert on Environmental Matters. Finally we have a lawyer in Environmental Law
Rod Northey with marginally more victories in "Environmental" matters than the Washington Generals have in basketball games.
With this crew charting the course, we the taxpayers are also the losers.
