Nobody runs for the Office of Mayor to be someone else's puppet.
Tim Jones has moved on.
Geoff Dawe will stand or fall on his own merits.
Being elected to political office is still an honour worthy of the most earnest endeavour.

It is interesting to see that there are still some stupid people in Aurora.
Tim Jones served our town with distinction for many years.
Geoff Dawe has the opportunity to do the same.
It is that unfortunate noxious vapour in between that still causes sore throats and sneezes.
It's too bad we can't rid our atmosphere of this. Possibly when all the litigation is settled and she runs from town with her tail between her legs can we then heave a sigh of relief and breathe fresh air once again.
Now that is a seriously old grudge to be nursing.

It is no secret that Tim Jones worked to get Mayor Dawe elected, so did I. But it wasn't because Tim lost in 2006, it was because of the dismal job that Phyllis did for the next four years.
Many people helped Mayor Dawe's campaign,the votes of thousands of citizens justified our efforts, and the results since last November prove us right.
Oh wow! Do you really think she will run from town after all this is done? I think crowds would line the streets to urge her on while they watch the back of her.
