The scuttlebutt out of Toronto sank to new depths at the week-end.
Sarah Thompson got more attention from the media that she did as a mayoralty candidate.
I watched various all-candidate round-tables during the election. Tried to re-call any kind of impression ..
Nada.. nil... zilch or zero.
The media huffed and puffed and blew hard for the flame to catch
It came to life slightly when the Mayor said on his radio program .the lady wasn't playing with a full deck.
She responded he was high on something. She wasn't sure what She had googled the symptoms but couldn't pin it down exactly
Cocaine had apparently been referenced on breakfast television.
Well that was electric. Reporters were desperately trying for a repeat it but they couldn't make her say it again.
It was quite the scene on national television.
Like a cat with a mouse
But eventually the mouse had to be let go with head still in place.
"Inappropriate touching" was the allegation.
The Mayor was accused. The accuser had no evidence. The story had no legs .
But desperation to make it walk was pitiful to behold.
And futile.

The woman is quite dumb. She actually told her friends, & those within ear shot, that she was going to set him up so she had a good photo for her election run.Sure advertise your moves.
And 12:47 doesn't her reaction to the situation by then trying to use it to her political advantage make you question the validity of her original statement and everything that follows. The Facebook aspect is ridiculous.
That story didn't work on either men or women. If true, she should have just said ' Cut that out " & moved out of range. Happens all the time. Tempest in a tea-pot & a serious error.

MORE EVIDENCE ETHICS SCHOOL INVOLVED IN COOKED CONTRACTS
"A federal watchdog is blowing the whistle again on a series of cooked contracts at a school that teaches public servants about ethics and values.
Frank Brunetta, the procurement ombudsman, said Tuesday he found more evidence that the Canada School of Public Service rigged its contracts to make sure they went to favoured suppliers.
His report examined the way contracts worth $1.7-million were awarded to six consultants from 2008 to 2011.
Mr. Brunetta's inquiry was sparked by a tip he received in April last year from a 'stakeholder' who claimed contracts awarded to two consultants for $435,000 and $260,000 showed clear signs of favouritism.

His office cannot levy fines or other penalties for bad behaviour, only requiring that an action plan be drawn up.
The findings drew the ire of Treasury Board Minister Tony Clement, to whom the school reports. 'We find the conduct described in this report is unacceptable,' Mr. Clement said in a statement. 'The government will be seeking appropriate sanctions against those responsible.'"

Is this the same Minister who managed to spill $50-million all over his riding for the "world beats a path to Canada's doorstep" in opulent Muskoka three years ago?
What sanctions have the Canadian people ever handed out against those responsible?
What is with Mayor Dawe writing about the eatery that purchased the Thompsons building.Is he their spokesperson.What gives???? Between the parking concerns and questions about building permits I find it strange.
